Given the greedy and corrupt nature of everyone on Alonzo's team, they didn't complain why he took a million dollars from Roger's retirement fund and gave them less because 1. Roger was Alonzo's "collar", 2. this was Alonzo idea, and 3. Alonzo is the team leader which entitles him to receive a larger sum.
