Isaacs reveals that his plan was to intentionally start the T-Virus outbreak to end the world, so that he and the rest of Umbrella can rebuild it in their own image while leaving the world's infrastructures intact. This directly contradicts the events of Resident Evil: Extinction (2007), where Alice explains in the opening narration that the T-Virus is effectively killing the earth, by drying up bodies of water and forests, and reducing continents to barren wastelands.
