When Moana washed up on Maui's island, she is completely covered in sand and it is spread all throughout her hair. She stands up and walks back to the water and brushes some of the sand off her body, but not her her. However, in the next shot she is completely free of all sand, not even a single grain in her hair. That is impossible considering she never cleaned/rinsed off her hair.
