When Salinger and Eleanor investigate the bullet holes in the pillar, the holes are about 3 inches apart, and on top of each other. In later scene, when the camera view is transformed into the sniper scope, the second shot leaves its mark on the pillar about foot from the first bullet hole, and to on the left.
