Nefertiri sends Sephora and her son, Gershon, on a caravan back to Midian to save Moses' son from Ramses' order to kill all first born Hebrew children. Later Moses tells her instead God will kill all first born Egyptian children. Nefertiri pleads with him to spare her son and Moses says he can not. He could have told her to paint the lintel and door post over her son's door with lamb's blood, so the angel of death would "pass over," but did not.
