When the first ballistic missile is fired from the submarine, the officer in charge refers to it as a "fish'" A fish is Navy slang for a torpedo. The torpedo runs in the water just like a fish, thus the name. No submariner would ever call a missile, such as the UGM-133 Trident II being fired here, by that name.
