In the film, the Bolsheviks take the whole family (all seven immediate) from Tobolsk to Ekaterinburg. According to Bolshevik accounts, they first took Nicholas, Alexandra, and their middle child Maria. The remaining children, Olga, Tatiana, Anastasia, and Alexei were taken 30 days later.
