(at around 2h 5 mins) The helicopters that attack Kong on the top of the World Trade Center are armed with high rate of fire Gatling guns (Miniguns) which make a "whirring" sound whilst being fired, rather than the more familiar lower rate of fire recoil operated machine gun noise that is heard in the film.
