At the start of the film when Mitchum is walking down the street, his badge is near the edge of the front panel of his shirt. When he comes indoors it is higher and further away from the edge. Also, at the start of the movie, the badge is fully metallic but during the confrontation in the saloon it has a large enameled circle in the center.
