Calitri has Eleanor destroyed because Memphis delivered it damaged and past the deadline -- ensuring that his client will not pay Calitri because he failed to fill the order, and that no one will ever use Calitri for an order again. What makes this even more bone-headed is that Calitri had accepted the damaged vehicles Sphinx and Mirror, and Kip and Tumbler delivered.
