Shortly before the experiment begins, as the sailors are boarding the Eldridge, you can see across to the USS Yorktown, you can see a Grumman Tracer E-1 aircraft and an unidentifiable jet with a red swept tail (possibly a Lockheed S-3 Viking). The Tracer didn't enter service until 1958 and the Viking entered service in 1974.
