At the end of the contest, the suit of armor didn't actually move from one pen to another "on its own." It was moved by a human being - the person wearing the suit. Per the game rules stated in the film, the combined teams should not have been allowed to claim the points for the suit. And, yet, neither the attorney for the estate, nor the attorney who participated in the hunt, objected to this obvious point.
