At the start of the movie O'Grady has the pouch of gold with him, and while the leprechaun deal with the wife, he likely hides it somewhere.
10 years later the pouch is found not at its hiding place, but teleports to a truck which is too far from the house anyway for O'Grady to hide the thing there.
