Hotel Manageress:
Dinner is at seven sharp if you don't mind.

Seven? That's a bit early for my gastric juices.
Hotel Manageress:
If you don't mind though. The cook leaves at eight and she has the washing up to do before she goes. The Catering Wages Act, you know.
Professor Kerris Bowles-Ottery:
Yes. Well I must rush if I'm to get a bath before dinner.
Hotel Manageress:
I'm afraid the hot water system is being overhauled I think the water should be quite warm.
Professor Kerris Bowles-Ottery:
That sounds positively cosy.
