All right, these elevators operate on electromagnetic induction. When there's a fire, they're held in place by a fail-safe brake. When I cut this cable, you're gonna fall.
Sarah Sawyer:
What? Will.
Will Sawyer:
It's all right. Just listen to me. You're gonna fall through the fire. The magnets are gonna kick back on once you pass the fire line.
[opening a panel on the wall]
Will Sawyer:
But I need you to pull this handle in order to engage the braking system. It's about 500 feet from here until the fire line. I want you to count to five and pull the handle.
Sarah Sawyer:
This is crazy.
Will Sawyer:
Trust me.
Sarah Sawyer:
Okay.
Will Sawyer:
How you doing, buddy?
Henry Sawyer:
I'm scared.
Will Sawyer:
It's okay to be scared. In order to be brave, we got to be a little scared. All right? Now I need you to be brave right now. Can you do that for me?
Henry Sawyer:
Yeah.
Will Sawyer:
I want you to hold onto your mom. Daddy loves who?
Henry Sawyer:
