I was 18 when I wrote my novel "Sarah". Never thought I'd become a bestseller. With all these fancy people want to meet me, the illusive JT LeRoy. But I prefer to be a shut in 'coz when I'm writin' or on the phone, I get to show people exactly what *I* wanna show 'em. I can focus on the words and just... leave my body behind.
