Our manager, The Cream's manager, felt that if we went over to San Francisco too early we'd lose our market value. So, he held off and said, no-no, you must go later on and then be a Big Bang, you know, at the Fillmore. And it worked out all right in the end; but, I was really upset about it; because, we'd been asked to go and I wanted to go. I felt that they must have thought we were being big headed. But, I'd loved to have seen him play there. He did that sacrifice thing for the audience with his guitar. I've seen it so many times on film.
