Well, it's about how you Rendevous with the Agena. If you thrust it actually slows you down because it puts you into a higher orbit, so you have to reduce thrust and drop into a lower orbit in order to catch up. It's backwards from what they teach you as a pilot, but if you work the math, it follows.
