As long as I can remember we've been living there. Came from back east when I was about two. And it's been real hard, been a lot of work to do, but I guess it's the same for most folks. And momma lost two babies, and Pa and me had to do everything ourselves for a long time. Then Momma had Dee. Everyone sure was happy 'bout that! And the town's about ten miles away. We go to church every Sunday, but Momma's been schoolin' us at home cos the town's so far, which Dee don't mind none! Ain't this beautiful, Toral?
