Torchwood

Torchwood è il titolo di una serie televisiva di fantascienza britannica prodotta dalla BBC, creata da Russell T. Davies ed interpretata da John Barrowman ed Eve Myles. Narra le attività della sezione di Cardiff dell'Istituto Torchwood, il cui compito è quello di investigare sugli avvenimenti riguardanti gli extra-terresti ed utilizzare per i propri scopi le tecnologie aliene che recupera dalle varie missioni; come si dice nella la sigla, l'organizzazione è «al di là del governo, al di fuori della polizia». La prima stagione, formata da tredici episodi, venne commissionata nel 2005 dalla BBC come spin-off di Doctor Who la serie più longeva della televisione britannica.
