Elektra Records' deal with Mötley Crüe never came to an end because of Nikki Sixx demanding it so (as the movie portrays); it all actually happened because their contract expired, putting the band in total control of its destiny and including the ownership of the masters of all their albums, including outtakes and supposedly discarded material.
