High on opium, Curly Bill discharges his pistols 20 times, including the fatal shot into Marshal Fred White. While there is a pause in his initial shooting where Marshal White decides to intercede that Curly Bill could have reloaded his pistols, he doesn't appear coherent enough to reload his weapons to continue firing.
