The small town of Son is not depicted in the movie, and the bridge there would have had buildings from the town on both sides of it. In the movie, there are only wooded areas and fields on both sides of the bridge. Also, the movie makes it seem like the Americans attacked from the South end of the bridge when it was blown up, but they actually attacked from the North side.
