As Thursday orders York to prepare for the first patrol against the Apaches, he tells him to prepare a platoon from "A" troop. Outside, as Thursday and York mount their horses, the patrol's guidon shows them to be from "C" troop. As it switches to a long shot as they prepare to leave the fort, the guidon switches to "A" troop. Then, as they charge towards the wagon in the field, the guidon changes back to "C" troop.
