Dopo che un team di archeologi in Arizona dissotterra uno scheletro di lupo mannaro e uno di loro sviluppa sintomi di licantropia prima di morire, il caposquadra degli scavi, Yuri, cerca di infettare altri cittadini come esperimento. Quando uno scrittore scientifico di nome Paul si stabilisce in città per seguire gli scavi e sviluppa un interesse romantico per una componente femminile del team, Yuri fa di Paul il suo prossimo bersaglio.
