Megamind è un eroe "super cattivo" che ha ottenuto meno successi di chiunque altro. Negli anni Megamind ha cercato in ogni modo di conquistare la Terra, ma ogni suo tentativo si è trasformato in fallimento a causa del super-eroe mascherato "Metro Man". Tutto cambia il giorno in cui Megamind nel bel mezzo di uno dei suoi contorti piani malefici uccide accidentalmente Metro Man. Improvvisamente Megamind non ha più un vero scopo. Un supercattivo senza supereroe. Megamind si rende conto che raggiungere la sua ambizione più grande è in realtà la cosa peggiore che gli sia mai successa. Decide allora che l'unico modo per uscire da questa situazione è creare un nuovo eroe "Titan" più grande, migliore e più forte di quanto non lo sia mai stato Metro Man...
